‘Legal porn’: Rare panda sex tape spreads on social media

Cuicui and Wugang became China’s newest webcam sex sensations after a live video feed dedicated to panda copulation captured their successful mating session.

大熊猫翠翠和武岗成功交配的视频在网上传开后，这对大熊猫也因啪啪啪成为了网络新秀。

Between April 2 and 4, China Network Television (CNTV)’s iPanda Channel broadcast the pair’s rare procreation attempts at the Bifengxia Panda Reserve, Sichuan Province during their spring special, "Season of Making Bears."

4月2日到4日间，中国网络电视台iPanda熊猫频道在春天这个特别的“造熊季”播出了在四川雅安碧峰峡大熊猫保护基地的一对熊猫罕见的交配画面。

The coveted moment came on the morning of April 3, when thousands of enthusiastic voyeurs witnessed Cuicui and Wugang mate for 4 minutes and 33 seconds.

这一梦寐以求的时刻在4月3日来到了，上千人激动地目睹了熊猫翠翠和武冈长达4分33秒的交配过程。

The video soon went viral on social media.

这个视频马上在社交媒体疯传。

The hashtag "webcasting pandas mating" garnered 3.4 million clicks on Sina Weibo, with many applauding the couple’s stamina.

新浪微博话题“网播熊猫交配”获得340万点击量，这对熊猫的耐力获得众人鼓掌。

"When they finally did it, everyone celebrated; we two-legged animals really care a lot about these pandas, posted "LaoyaoI."

“当它们啪啪啪完毕后，所有人都为之庆祝；我们两只腿的动物真的关心这些熊猫呀，”一名叫老鸦I的网友写道。

Others couldn’t resist to crack a few jokes.

其他人则不能自已地爆出一些笑话。

"This must be the only legal porn in the Chinese mainland," wrote "wujing zianle."

“这肯定是中国大陆唯一一个合法毛片吧，”名为“武警自安乐”的网友说。

"Is it really proper to broadcast this private thing between pandas? [The authorities] should do something," Sina Weibo user "black tofu is not white tofu 000."

“播放熊猫私生活真的好吗？［当局］应该干点儿什么吧，”新浪微博用户“黑豆腐不是白豆腐000”说。

Breeding pandas in captivity continues to prove extremely difficult. According to the iPanda Channel, mating season occurs from March to May, when females have a fertile window of three days a month.

圈养大熊猫繁殖是极其困难的。据iPanda熊猫频道称，交配季节通常是三月到五月，这段时间母熊猫有每月三天的繁殖窗口期。
